One more summer while Dominique and I are in France and Spain during July and August , we rent out our Beijing appartment.

• 4 bicicles to explore the hutongs (small streets in the old Beijing)

Price all included: 250 Eur/week or 800 Eur/mes (you can pay via a bank trasnfer in Europe or in RMB in China)

Along the River During the Ching-ming Festival

A friend of mine just sent to me a link with a picture and motive me to digg a bit on it. I was reading a bit about the history of the picture.


The earliest extant version of this subject is a masterpiece by Sung artist Chang Tse-duan (fl. 12th century). It represents one of the old capitals of China - Kaifeng. This is in the province of Henan in the centre-east of China.

Understanding the Rise of China

After a long while of silence here, this morning still from China, I came across a very interesting video. I was wondering what to do with the video link and decided to drop it here.

The author of the video Martin Jacques, as well as from the book When China Rules the World, seems to have a good knowledge about China. If you are interested to know more about China after watching the video, you might be interested to read the book. I have not read the book yet, but Martin's good exercise of marketing inspirme to read it.
